I heard the free test area was pretty lame(last year anyways) and they have someone go in the car with you and its very boring, and they threaten you not to chirp the tires or do anything "funny"

Can anyone verify this? If so i cant wait to get my hand on an MSM and scare the SHAT outta the guy(rockon)

when i was at the philly rev it up last year, there were no ride-along guys from rev it up people, just a solo test drive (plus your passenger if you have any).

the course isn't set up for fast runs, it's just a simple test course. and yes they will mark you with an X on your pass if you do something stupid (like chirping tires) on the test course. 2 X's on your pass and you're kicked out of the event.

but i don't think they said anything about driving fast on the course

oh and i don't think you can scare anybody there, most of the workers there are all experienced racers of some sort.

Actually, due to my fabulous new job, and it's not so fabulous hours, we've had to change our registration to the 7:40AM session on Sunday! Of course, the upside of that arrangement is that I get to do the Rev it Up, and get paid that day.

Oh well.

We might see some of you arriving as we're leaving!

Hmmm (last year) - FWIW, good ole' me was banned from further test drives because I chirped the MSPro taking off, and drove a 'bit' aggressively. Sucks, coz I wanted to try the Special Edition (6-speed) Miata, but couldn't.
