Hi all....
I have been working on a Mazda 3 (it seems like forever).
Got most everything hooked up but the power steering wont work. This car was in an accident so the entire power steering pump had to be replaced. I managed to get one from a junk yard and also managed to get the three connectors.
It is all hooked up (three connectors on the pump itself) but there is no power steering feel when i start the car and turn the wheel.
does the module need special programming at the dealer or something so the power steering can function ?
Also i noticed a white connector right behind the power steering pump (coming off the little harness not the main harness) that is not hooked up to anything. I have no idea where this goes to or if this is somehow related to power steering pump not working.
Apppeciate any feedback, pics, or diagrams or schematics.
