Hey everybody,

just asking for some helpful advice, I have a 2003 P5 and I find the suspension on the car a stiff and ruff ride, now I know I have low profile 16" Dunlop tires but the question I have is what would be the best Product for the Money.to make the car a more softer drive. I was reading about eibach springs but are they used mostly to lower your car? Or would they make it a softer ride as well?
What about the suspension? What would you recommend there?

Thanks in advance.

eibachs would make it ride stiffer, as would most (or all) lowering springs. i think it's the nature of the car to ride a little stiff (short wheelbase, low profile tires).

You could switch to 15" wheels and go for a higher profile tire. The extra tire flex should help the ride a bit.

Softer shocks would help but you run the risk that the car is underdamped and you'll find the car "wallowing" up and down ....... like an old Cadillac :D.

Or if you want try the Dunlop FM901 tires in stock sizing. The ride turned out to be a little more comfortable than the stock tires and they'll be way better in the rain.

They are a summer only tire though.

IMO the stock ride is a little soft. unless its after a few days of rain then the potholes magically change my mind.

lol pretty funny.

I like the way the car Handles and drives, its just wear I live its snows for at least 6, 7 months and then the other season pot hole season :(

But I think the best idea is not getting low profile tires

Thanks guys

15" rims with some thick tires on them will make the car ride softly, and the tires will be cheap too!

My car rides soft in the winter, but I got 14" rims for the winter LOL... (ugh)

Go for some 15" tires with more profile. Almost every aftermarket spring will make the ride harsher. Also, just wait a few thousand miles and the struts will go bad and soften it up a bit...

I was riding on 195/65/15s all winter and they don't soften the ride as much as you would think. Trade in your car for a Buick.
