2003 mazdaspeed protege it shut off and wont start help??????

So my 2003 mazdaspeed protege it shut off when i was at the lights and the light turned green put it first gear and shut off and wont start but i just changed my vacuum lines all of them, i think and are they any more vac lines around that i have to change that i dont know???????????

it's hard to say if you changed all of them bc I don't know what you did change, but it doesn't sound like a vacuum problem. If you had a major vacuum leak your car should still try to start up, rpm's might jump and then car die, but i should start up

ya it has gas and a cranks over but my temp gauge stays up when i put in the on position any clue???

Did you notice the car getting hot? They'll die if they get too hot, how many miles on it?

nope the temp was normal and than when i tryed to turn it back on i see the temp passed H and i was like wtf??????????????but i hope u could give me some ideas??

if i am not mistaken the fuel injection fuse under hood also causes same problem.

The temp was at hot after you tried to re start it? Have you checked compression? It could have over heated and blown the head gasket... Hopefully not though

ya i checked all my fuse and compression there fine i dont know guess im just goin to blow it grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bumpage. I started my car today, let it warm up, proceeded to get about 200 feet from work, and the car just died on me, wouldn't start up again. I coasted in to a park lot, poked around the engine bay, nothing out of place. Gas light was on, so got some gas in there, and still no start.

When you first try and start it, it " almost starts for maybe a half second then dies, and after that it just cranks over. Since this past Saturday, there has been some noise coming from the timing belt area, and I am curious to see if maybe the belt tensioner went or something...

Sorry for the thread-jack, but it's a very similar issue...maybe. Damn it, I always forget to check fuses.

theres a relay in the fues box by the battery in the engine bay.. i for got witch one ill take a look tomrow.. for some reson same thing happen to mine.. i kept checking a 40 amp fuse the car has.. but mistake i relay the fuse it clicked in to place .. and stall issue went away...

hey guys i'm new to this ,i have almost the same problem, i got a mp3 that it died in the middle of the street ,my problem is that i have no spark ,coils are good i have power and ground but no signal once trying to start no power going to the crank position sensor or signal coming out of it ,does the OEM alarm has to do anything w preventing the car from starting? ,thanks for your time and help

do you have fuel pressure? How about coolant, is there even any in the tank? hows your oil pressure? starter? battery?
