I have a '02 p5 that was sitting for a year and a half while i was stationed in Okinawa, JP. AAA came to jump my car while i was gone and they put a screwdriver in where the main fuse was and had my father start the car. It blew the stereo and now every time i go to start the car it dies out.
Ive replaced the battery and it still does it.
when i put a multi meter to the batter terminals it reads 12.5v while the car is running, and when the car is off it steadily decreases.
Does this mean that there could be a short somewhere in the wiring, and the alternator is bad ?
