I just had my TSW Mondello installed yesterday. It came to around 2048 with 255/45/20 Toyo Proxes S/T.

yeah I'm into these as well... I think from seeing the 20's though I may have to go with 22" rims

Very nice....enjoy them...and don't fall in love with the curbs on the side of the roads.

To be honest, you can feel the added weight/width of the tire on acceleration from a complete stop.
I don't know how much of an effect the weight has vs how much of an effect the additional tire width has (255 vs 235) I don't think think the 20" wheel + tire weighed but maybe 10lbs more than stock wheel + tire. So its not that big of a difference, but its definately something you can feel until the turbo kicks in.
That being said. The 20" wheels still look a heck of a lot better than the stock ones
I'm also not sure how you would fit anything really greater than a 255 width tire. The 255's barely fit under the wheel wells. I would think that if you went any bigger you would have your wheels sticking out... which personally I don't like. Also, I would suspect that 275 probably rubs.

you going to use your stock wheels for your winter set-up?
He wasn't talking about 20's, just the width of the tire.

I meant both tire tread width and weight.
You can feel the additional weight through the steering wheel, especially while turning. I'm not sure of the exact weight of the stock wheel/tire - but the 20" Mondello + tire was roughly 70/75lbs. I think stock was roughly 60/65lbs.
I think I'm going to use the stock 18's for winter. But I dunno, I may sell them. It hasn't been that bad here the past few winters. And the 20's aren't that low profile. Honestly the biggest factor is I don't want a set of wheels sitting in my garage lol, they take up too much room.

My left front wheel keeps having a lug nut come loose(er) and it makes some horrible grinding noises... twice now in 3 days. I jack it up and tightened all the lug nuts to no avail 
May have to take it back to the tire place tomorrow.

With alluminium rims, you must "tork" each log nuts, I have a tork wrench and do it by myself. The heat/cold cycle, expend and shrink the metal, then nuts come looses. In the CX7 manual, Mazda recommand 80lbs of tork...
Do you have new nuts? with a good "V" shape ? wrong type can cause nuts come loose.
OOps, I forgot something, ... you do a good choice of rim for your's grey CX7, very nice.
