2.3L Year Model? Help!

Hi guys.

I'm a newb concerning car performances,mods and so on, and that's why I need your help and opinions here. I'm looking to purchase a used Mazda3 (hatchback) 5-speed automatic 2.3L. What year was that model made in? And what's the feedback on that car?

years go from 2004-2009! i got no complaints about the 3! maybe just there is no trunk release on the key fob? lol

If it's a 5-speed automatic, then it is between the 2006 - 2009 model years. The 04-05 automatics were all 4-speed.

There actually IS a trunk release on the key fob for newer mz3 sedans (but the feature wasn't added until 08.5) -- our 09 has it
