Just got a great deal on 2 12" kicker comp vr's ....u guys think that they will fit? or will i have to do a custom install?

maybe

I just got two 10's installed in the trunk. Without removing the rear setup it's really hard to fit anything in there. The box I bought has to be laid on it's bottom with the speakers facing up and back. I had the amp mounted where the other amp was. So I think you're gonna have to get something custom for it to fit good.

I would love some more bump but it looks OH SO CLEAN how it is now. Anyone consider just buying the VERY VERY BEST 8" in the market and trying to stick it in where our kenwood is? The best 8 ive found is a RF punch or power, i dont remember, would it fit in the same hole as the kenwood 8?? Thanks in advance orangemsp :-). u going to houston HIN?

JL audio is probably as clean as it can get.... w3's are REALY nice, i used to have 2 10s in my truck and the subs combined with my alpine v12 amp (maybe the best) blew me away. My friend had 12w3s and they were incrediblew and still maintained a clear sound. The rockford fosgate power and punch is a great line. Probably the best all around sound I have heard is from 2 12" Infiniti Perfects. My friend ordered them off crutchfield and he blows s*** away. Maybe audiobahns are better but i havent heard any.Anyways...

This is prob all horse s*** compared to what orangemsp can tell u so ill shut up now

elemental designs k series will woop the w3. in both sq and spl. the new e8a sub is what i was thinking of if you wanted to keep the stock setup. 450w rms 900w max, flat piston cone, i mean this 8" is incredible. that thing will rock you in more ways than one. i'm thinking of gettin 2 12 or 2 15. i'll prolly stick to the 2 12 setup. goin with ED K or O series once the new 2004 series comes out. most likely gonna do the K series cuz it's cheaper, but if i some how find some more money, then its gonna be the O series. i'm definately gonna go with the ED nine.1 amp, 1009 watts rms at 1 ohm. thats my future setup.

s*** i didnt think we were talkin bout that much $$... nobody replied to my question about a replacement 8"...

I got (2) 12"s and they fit in a ported box with 2" of clearence left on the sides.

ohh sorry, bad ass, do u know if it will fit into the stock system for sure? like is it too deep or anything.... THANKS MAN.

HOLY s***!! 450 RMS for $180!?!?! Thanks for the info a million times. I think i just might order this bad boy pretty soon, just need my 18z first.

well i really haven't had time to mess around with the stock sub and stuff, maybe today i'll take a look at it in depth. but it should still fit. those subs are made for a box that is .25 cf and thats damn small. so that sub enclosure is massive compared to the required space. that enclosure should give that e8a some REALLY REALLY nice kick and sq. go for it.

LOL sure, no problem. if you got any other questions about ed or subs and amps, just ask i'll do my best to answer (i just hope 3 years of doing audio will answer well enough :) ). i know a couple of other underground brands that really kick ass at what they do aside from ed.

oh yeah, their subs are underrated too, so use about 50watts more than rms to get big, big hits and sq. look at the ninE.1 amp to supplement your excellent 8" monster. and for all you skeptics who think that it might be cheap material, look at the site and check out the nomex and kevlar that is used in the subs. and aren't those 4 spoke baskets just sexy!?

omfg

no.

someone put a stop to it. now THIS board too is no longer safe from the ranting and raving about elemental subs - whats next? brahma? christ, i think im back at caraudioforums.com

RF punch series is pretty ghetto, a power 8" would be nice, but i dont think they go below 10" in the power lineup
