1WPE-14-302 oil filter ???

I just picked up this 1WPE-14-302 filter from the dealer. Never paid attention to it until I got home and see the number is different than the one I got
last time PE01-14-302A. The WPE also says "made in Thailand" instead of japan. Did Mazda make a switch or did I get the wrong / old style filter? Can't find much info surfing the net.
Anyone have info on this filter??

Not sure about the part # you have but here is a link about the wrong Mazda filter before they added an A at the end...

I don't know how these little things get so difficult to find, but I guess only Mazda can do that. The 1WPE-14-302 is the new Mazda OEM oil filter for Skyactive. If you google that number,, you will not find much info if any. The dealer confirmed the number, and said that was changed about a month ago. At my dealer, they still order under the old PE01-14-302A, but Mazda automatically updates to this new WPE number. All my dealers inventory is now the WPE filters.
Note, I am in Canada, so who fricken knows if we get different parts, or if this will be the same for all. Just a little note next time you buy a filter.
