1st to 2nd gear grind. Petition?

I think we can solve many issues with petitioning to Mazda. When a s*** load of angry speed owners all experiencing the same problem are banging on their door they have to do something!!!

please explain how the notchiness is a severe problem...

the protege isn't Mazda's problem anymore, they're focused on the 2004+ lineup.

the grinding is a syncro problem.... the fluid I used fixed it for me..... its super light, but still very viscous. give it a try

MSP and MP3 owners aren't the only ones with this problem. My 2003 P5 has crappy 1-2 shifts too. Pisses me right off!

Nothing to lose by trying I guess. Although I'll say that my shifter has been BUTTER smooth since I bought it. Shifts great and I think it's only grinded on the 1-2 shift 1 time in the year I've had it. I have no complaints about mine.
