1st oil change.. do it early?.?..

update - so I got my oil change and they also recommended rotating the tires, so they did that for 20 bucks. he recommended an oil change every 3k miles. interesting I wonder what the ms3 service manual says as I can't seem to find my copy hehe

^Rotate the tires every 5k.

Mazda changed it... just ask your dealer and they should tell you that the required oil changed to 5w-40.

Well technically it was to remedy the smoking turbo problem until the new PCV system is available. It says once that has been replaced, it will be changed back to 5W30

When i bought my car the dealer told me that using synthic oil in the ms3 was a bad idea. They said it was to light to work well with the turbo. I thought that they were crazy when they told me that casue in my 1.8t VW i only used synthic.

It's the opposite, synthetic is better for the turbos demands.
