1st Gear Takeoff Vibration/Jerking...

When i begin to takeoff in 1st gear the car has a vibration/jerk/shake feeling when the clutch begins to grab. I've tried slowly releasing clutch with not much acceleration applied and i have rev'd the engine a little and still get the same jerky feel when the clutch catches. This only happens when the clutch catches in 1st gear, if im already slightly rolling and i take off in second it doesnt happen.

Anyone experience anything like this? Im not an amateur by any means when it comes to a manual vehicle but I've only had my MSP for about a week and a half and i was thinking it was just because i wasnt used to the MSP clutch but im starting to think its not me anymore.

Any help would be appreciated, Thanks!

Mine will only do this starting up hill at low RPM's, but from what it sounds like we've got the same issue. I'm sort of a car noob at this point, still trying to learn, so I'm gonna wait til someone with more experience chimes in to answer this. Good luck!

This isn't MSP specific.... What you're experiencing is clutch chatter. It's going to be an issue within the clutch assembly itself or the flywheel. You could have an input shaft seal or rear main leaking and getting fluid contamination on the disc. Or it could be mounts completely shot. In short, it's one of the items listed above.

have the same problem. it seems giving it less gas in 1st helps. it gets worse after longer trips

I just got outside now that its bright enough to see and checked around the intake which has no cracks like some posts i have read causing an issue like this but my motor mounts are shot to the point there is rubber hanging out of the sides of them, and the stud/bar that runs through the middle of the rubber is almost touching the metal outside ring on the motor mount, so im sure when the engine twists it has almost a 1 1/2 in. wobble play area... Could this be the issue?

This is probably another main reason because of the added engine movement and vibration my nuts backed off of the exhaust manifold to turbo flange studs causing my gasket to blow out and make my exhaust leak hissing sound which i already have the parts ordered to fix that. May need to fix my motor mounts before i replace the gasket and studs from exhaust to turbo huh?

i thought it was motor mounts. i bought new mounts and inserts but only installed front and sides under a year and some months ago. havent replaced rear but at least its not torn.
