1k to spend on...

Yes, bigger and more efficient.

I didn't tune when I got my FM. As far as the FMIC being better, I'm not sure there is really any difference. That's a good question to ask. They both have the same functions just in different spots. Someone correct me if I'm wrong..

tmic has better responce, but the heat soak is a hp killer. with fmic you may get some turbo lag, but the coooling efficiency is much better.
If I gona spend money on a ic I would get the fmic.

07speed3, with $1k I would get... street unit or awr rear mount ($80-$115), the oem sucks, MS or injen cai ($300+ for ms, $250 for injen). So thats about $400......Hmmmm...... about $600 left...... you can go with cat back but read somewhere that you wont get much gain, ms springs if you want some suspension mod, or go all HP and get the cpe piggyback. (flash)

personally, i would get the motor mount, shifter bushings and the intercooler. the car feels way better with the bushings and i felt a big difference with the cai and the intercooler. i would wait on the bov because the cai makes the car pretty loud by itself.

fmic=better but more expensive, more difficult to install and probably voids waranty.
tmic=not as efficient but better than stock, less lag and can be swapped out for dealer visits

I say you buy yourself a good BK whooper, a grey goose bottle, 2 strippers, and catless downpipe. Should be more than enough.

Maaaaybe I'm on the wrong side of things here, but:

SEAS 6.5" woofers
SEAS Neodymium silk tweeters
Memphis Belle 5ch amp
Rockford Fosgate 3sixty.2 processor to keep the factory H.U.
Single JL Audio 10W3v2 sub
Sound dampener, wiring, rca's, etc.

Then cut the airbox for free.

any specific ideas?

i want to do some performance upgrades but idk what route i should go with that...im new to the whole turbo car scene.
get a cai and a downpipe that would be just under 1k
....those 2 mods wont need any suspension but u can get mazda springs in the future for 400 and u get about 3/4 inch drop... downpipes are about 500 and cai's are average 300. and installation should be covered with the other 200 unless ur installing urself

what DP should i look at, and will i need a hole new exhaust with that?

i dont think u will need to get new exhaust..i think the cp-e bolts up to the 2.5 inch stock exhaust....but getting the rest of the piping 3 inch will make things alot better

dude i would go with engine upgrades, exede , cpe cat back, cia i think the car handles fine if i had 1000 to spen i would get exede engine mangement or a good catback or something
