1997-98 Protege 1.8 wiring harness and ECU

I am doing a BP swap on a 1998 Protege that had a 1.5 in it. The 1.8 I want to swap in is from a 1997 Sephia. Most of the electrical connections are the same but a few critical ones are not. While I haven't compared all of them I did enough to know that the TPS, cruise control and other components don't match up. Several items like EGR, map sensor, starter, fuel pump and injectors are the same on the 1.5 and 1.8. While the 1.8 throttle body looks bigger it uses the same fuel pump and injectors so I thought maybe it will work with the right knowledge? I took the wiring harness and ECU out of the Sephia just in case but feel that the two may have too many differing electrically operated parts to simply plug and play. Our local pull it yourself lot has a 97 and 98 but both had 1.5's( I thought 1.5's were the exception to the rule in production numbers?). I know that only 97 & 98 are direct fits. I'm also sure the computers I have would run the engine with enough work but probably not all of the electricals correctly. One guy wrote on another forum that he used a Kia 1.8 and the Kia ECU but A/C and other items did not work and it idled rough. I know someone probably has done this swap and solved these issues and I would like to hear from them. I'm only replacing the engine out of necessity not just for performance. My friend also has several Escort GT's with 1.8's AT and MT, as well as 323, 626 etc for parts in his junk yard so I can get anything I need.
Here is what I need;
1-Wiring harness and ECU from a 97-98 Protege with a 1.8 auto trans car only.OR
2-wiring diagrams of harness for 97-98 Protege 1.8 auto and 1.5 auto that I can compare and see if 1.5 ECU could be adapted to work or information on same.OR
3-Wiring diagram of 97 Sephia 1.8 auto. OR
4-information on using any other car or year wiring, etc to make this work.
Thanks
