- 1994 MX-3 KLZE
I bought myself a '94 MX-3 with a previous KLZE swap two weeks ago. Nothing was wrong with it when I test drove/bought it, except a reeaaally high idle (2100-2300rpm) which the previous owners said was due to chipping the engine, and a real rich running problem, one so bad I got a headache driving it. They gave me the explanation on how to do the idle control sensor adjustment, which I was just mind boggled with (the notion of putting a paper clip into a wire sounds all kind of sketchy) so I took it to a JDM mechanic.
So far, we've cleaned the throttle, which got the idle down to a more realistic idle (1200rpm), but now it bogs out and stalls.
We swapped the MAF, no real change in anything. It's pumping out straight gas out the exhaust, so bad we had to work on it outside and not in the shop. It's flooding itself out it's so rich.
We're going to try to find a 1.8L V6 ECU to see if it's the computer, but I'm at a loss.
Anyone have any other suggestions?
