Hey guys, I am new to the forum but not new to mazda's. My name is Brian, I am 20 Y/O. I am a "motor head", I love my mazda's. My new 1988 323 GT (which I bought today) is my
5th mazda. I have had 2 first gen protege's single and dual OHC. I have had two and currently own one MX5.

So lets get to it, I bought my bone stock 323 GT today for $580. There are quite a few minor problems but, she runs drives and boosts great :). She has some surface rust nothing terrible, 206k miles and a lot left. I would like to add a few minor mods to get her to smoke some ricers but I am not looking to break the bank or create a masterpiece.

I was thinking about

1. Bigger FMIC
2. putting on a thicker exhaust 2.5 inch. The current pipe is from turbo to cat. (the cat back is missing)
3. Maybe a new turbo/ rebuild current one?
4. I want the BOV sound but I know I need a recirculating type Valve. I know a few brands that claim to do both.
5. stiffin the chassis a bit, I want to stay in the seat for sharp corners.
6.?? you tell me.. where should I start, what should I do, where can I get it?

Thanks
-Brian

Step #1 Exhaust. 2.5 will work great
Step #2 ECU upgrade to allow you to run up the 15-16psi
Step #3 boost controller
Step #4 Upgrade the POS IC
Step #5 Upgrade the BOV. Forge makes one for the Mazdaspeed Mx5 which is cheap and works well.

Perfect list, Thanks. Can I put a chip in the ECU or does it need to be flashed?

There are a few local Boost controllers for sale. Both are manual, Should I just go with that? cheap and simple?

Thanks
-Brian
