I recently swapped my OEM to a set of Rota P1 18x8, 48mm offset running a 225/45 Dunlop Direzza star spec, stock springs/koni yellows. Started to rub really bad in the rear. Had to get to work and don't know if rolling my fenders will fix the problem so put my stockers back on. Is there anyone running this set up on the MS3? I would like to keep these wheels just want to make sure I can make it work. Thanks for any help...

Shouldve gone with 225/40 instead. But since you already have the tires, get a fender roll. Go on MOCC and im sure youll find someone local who will do it for around 40 bucks.

Thanks, already did the MOCC post. 225/40 wasn't an option since I already have a set of the current size. Just want to know if anyone has first hand knowledge of this exact set up working without rubbing after rolling the fenders....

I have Rota P1's(18 X 8 / 48 offset). I am rolling with OEM size 215/45 18,it's lowered with Koni shocks/struts and I have no rubbing. Next year, I plan to go with 235/40 18's. My fenders were not rolled.

I would suggest since you already have the tires and don't have the funds I'm sure to get new size I would take it to a shop and get them to add some camber so they tuck, either way it's drive it with uneven wear tires or risk a blow out from rubbing...your call.

Get your rears rolled and/or get stiffer springs. I have 18x8.5 +48 with 235/40 of same tire lowered on coilovers and only rubbed on bumps while cornering. I got the rears rolled and obviously no more rubbing. So with your setup I think you have bigger rubbing issues with plastic lining more than the fender lip since it's narrower but taller.

As mentioned before I would recommend running a lower profile tire. You can get away without having to roll the fenders with a 225/40/18. The 45 series tire is too tall and even if you roll the fenders you might experience some rubbing with hard bumps. The other suggestion is to run more camber, but I don't usually recommend doing this unless you have to as it will give you uneven tire wear and you'll eventually have to get new tires driving around with excessive negative camber.

yea what he said the rubbing is due to the tires you're running you need something not as tall. Its not worth destroying the tires so try rolling if that doesnt work then your most likely going to have to sell your tires and get the 225/40s.
