I am a newbie to the forum so Hi everyone;

I own a 2004 3 SP5, 2.3L with factory 17" tires and rims, I recently purchased a set of 18" MSR model 045 rims with a + 35mm offset, Can I install this rims on my 3 and what tires do you suggest I should have on the rims, I understand there might be some issues with the speedo being out of calibration with the 18" rims, all suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks,
Tom

Next time try a search. There are a billion of these threads out there. But no worries. You're new. 18x what? I can figure it out for you.

Update. Running 18x7.5 with +35 offset is dangerous. Your tires if you run P205/45-R18's will stick out .7 inches. That's a little close to the fender. But running those tires your speedometer will read 60 when you are going 60.3. Not a huge difference. If they are 18x8 +35 that's pretty much impossible on our 3's. You'll be sticking out the fender a little over an inch with the smallest section width you can get with 8 inch wide tires. I wouldn't think it would fit.

+35 offset is basically too big of a difference. Our stocks at +52.5 and I'm about to run a +45. Barely. On 18x7.5's. You're pretty much S.O.L. man. Unless I'm wrong but I'm fairly sure I'm not. Anyone else correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks Zoom, I am on my way to the tire shop to exhange the rims. Thanks for the help, much appreciated.

I have 18x7.5 +45 and they only stick out a little...But any more and there would definitely be issues...I AM going to try and stuff my buddies 19's on the front end of my car just to see how bad it is!!! They came off a Nissan 350Z. But they only have 30 series rubber on so heres hoping it will work...If it does, I AM UPGRADING!!!

I have the sedan '04 3S, running OZ Superleggera's +35 rear and +45 front and the wheels are flush front and rear. Fender roll on the rear. Running BFG G-Force Super Sport tires all the way around 225/40/18. No rubbing. Stock suspension. KW V2's coming soon.
