soooooooo many kids here would be put away if they had those laws here..

My wife was just tell me when she was 15, SHE wanted to have sex but guess what, her boyfriend who was older and obvously knew better said NO cause it's against the law. period.

In addition I thought over 16 you weren't a minor. In my book a 17 year old should know where to put his dick.

They should take me to jail too then. I am 30 and my girlfriend is 26. We have been getting freaky for 7 years. This particular case is crap. Ten years is way too much time for consentual sex between a 17 year old and a 15 year old. The poor kid will be suffering for the rest of his life. What is our justice system coming to? If there was some sort of violent act commited here, I could see why such a harsh sentence was passed.

I agree with you on that. The guys life will be over by the time he gets out! Come on imagine how hard its going to be to find a job at 27 with no job history and that staped to your back for soemthing so assinine! People who who are repeat offenders of major crimes dont even get that harsh of a punishment!

actually in Texas that wouldn't be illigal...i guess we really are a little backwards here...anyways my junior year i hooked up with a freshman and by senior year we were getting busy. her father didn't like me at all and we were a little worried about him trying to press charges on me (i was 17 and she 15) if he ever found out we were having sex so i looked it up and after a bunch of searcing and reading i found out that 17 years old is when one is considered an "adult" as far as sexuality in texas, not 18. but that statutory **** (thats what its called right?) does not apply so long as it is consensual and as long as there isn't more that 2 full years between the 2 persons. after reading that....we were ****** 3-4 times a day. i miss high school.

I read the problem was that a 17-yo girl accused him of **** because she was drunk, then they found THE video of a 15-yo (not drunk) having oral sex with him along with other boys.

Found out this boy is black an athlete and honor student. All trashed away!
