I'm getting a set of 17" x 8" rims, +48 offset. I'm thinking about running 245/45/17 tires as they are only .3% different than the stock 215/45/18's. Do you think there will be any clearance issues, with either the wheel or the tire?
Thats the setup I am looking for, except running 235/45s. The information I have gathered so far says 235s should be fine at that offset but I used to work at a tire place and I can easily say that 245s on an 8 will make somewhat of a bulge at the sidewall. Look for stiff sidewall tires and they might work.
