16 Psi

because there have been lots of people that have blown their motor before 250, the only person I can think of off hand thats using a stock block and is in the 250 range is 505zoom, mine was up there until I spun a bearing but it was because of low oil :(

I dont think anyone has blown their motor with the unichip but I would still be cautious of it since its not tuned specific for your car/mods

what exactly is the unichip tuned for then? I thought both settings were tuned for stock + CAI...?

cai + midpipe + catback i thought

--I made sure i told them my mods, then they programmed my unichip. The first module i got was spiking to 15psi and holding 12psi. Man that felt good, but on cool nights it would fuel cut. I told them and they sent me another module, spiking to 12-13psi and holding 10psi. Runs good and doesn't ping at all. Also my A/F gauge is pegged rich.

Just saw the first couple of posts...

quick question...

If you install a cut out, so lets say your running open down pipe... If you have an electric boost controller set at lets say 9psi, it would not just go up to whatever, say 14, 15 psi... will it still. Isn't that only with a manual boost controller??? Or did he not have a boost controller at all...? Thanks for any help...! (thumb)

If it's an electronic boost controler then it should be able to adjust for the changes that you make and still hold the boost you ask it to.

505zoom isnt the only person running that on a stock block, I hit 250 a few times. i also however ruined my turbo, and now have to buy a new one and forge my engine while i'm at it, but i had the correct supporting mods, most importantly the MPI... this guy is asking to blow his engine

kind of funny i found this thread. I was wondering if anyone had an electronic dump. I have a couple of buddies who have it on there SRT-4's, and man is it wicked.
I find wierd that he was holding at 16 also. wastegate had to be stuck.

this whole thread makes me nervous being at 9.5 psi. I am getting mine with the supplement spring on the wastegate. It runs great!

I think was in this thread about the 20 hp gain w/ the down pipe, I am not sure what i got with the ion exhaust, but has to be very close to that.

Why do people say 250whp is like the "blow-up" point for our stock bottom ends? I have a unichip and run 10psi steadily. Should I be worried? I could possibly be at that limit right now......runs great though!!!!!

2 Probs

1 paper rods

2 ECU wont give enough fule if boost is increased

With a UNI chip you should be better set to handle the higher boost, but in the end the rods are still paper and small issues can become big issues real quick.
