clean that engine bay before install! get all the nooks and crannys before hand. check for rust too. are you planning on painting the block too or just the cover?

The block came painted black, which would look decent. Ya I should clean my bay now that you mention it.... pretty dirty and lots of antifreeze in there (yes i know ill be missing paint now)

so I went ahead and used some rubbing compound... engine bay looks good besides the missing paint all over the right side and front. Painted my sway bar again, painted hood latch, and began painting engine bay. hopefully it doesnt look too ghetto since its spray can and didn't move much outta the way (lol2)

man u made a mistake on that header, i bought one from ebay and its holding up really well

BUT the EGR bung was waaaay off, i had to loosen the support on the EGR and first connect the egr to the header, then i used a cherry picker (used to lift engines) and jacked up the header till it slid into the bolts
everything else on it is better then i expected, just that one thing though but it really pissed me off lol

well my engine isn't installed yet, and well they guaranteed it would fit perfectly (probably will not). I'm not worried about weld cause I have a welder and I also have all the tools to install and mod it to fit. saved me $100 bucks from obx and does exact same thing (eekdance)

^^Looks like you just lost that fight.
First one to start name calling loses because they have nothing better to say must resort to trash talk.

I don't care if stage 1 is a stock replacement or is a stage 1.

I don't know I drive an auto. But don't judge things on price. Why do we pay tens of thousands for vehicles now when in the past a good muscle car would run you 6 grand and be well equiped. It just what we as consumers agree to pay.

na, i just dont feel like arguing with morons. if the stage one is the same then why is it 300 bucks?

Brand name? Factory backing, customer service, to pay workers salarys

Just like how people pay hundreds of a CAI or SRI from a company, when you can get a knock off, or make your own for 1/5th of the cost.
