i did few pulls today, and found out my boost spiked 18psi and holds at only14psi?temp were around 75F. according to my mods(Synapse BOV,Injen SRI,PG Tip,Cattless dp/rp).am i supposed to spike around 20psi and holds at 16 or 17 psi? currently do have a CEL, P0301 and P2188. i dont think the CEL were causing boost leak??? any idea??

Cylinder misfire and too rich at idle... Do you have stable idle? I'd recommend cleaning your MAF at first and look what's further. Ensure all your hoses and tubes from compressor to throttle are well tightened and have no leaks. Check your BOV vacuum hose.

Sorry man, no other ideas. I think it's better to address that to real mechanics (drive)

prosport boost gauge, when idle it reads -20inhg. it will peak at 18 settle at 15psi for a second and then drop to 14psi? could be the BOV? i have a synapse. i mean my car run good, i was racing with a newer camero(09 maybe?)tonight,my car does his job good.

had the same problem tonight, changed my tune when I got home, hopefully that will fix it...very strange indeed I don't have any leaks either and yesterday it was boosting 21 psi. sigh.

Could be multiple things. How many miles on the car? My guess would be bad o2 sensor. I'm having the same issue on occaision. Hesitation, and boost cut sometimes. Also my AFR bounces at idle and cruising. If you can borrow a dashhawk, do it, it could tell you a lot. Do check your spark plugs to see if one is more fouled than the others. Could be an injector seal/injector leaking and fouling the o2. Also could explain the rich at idle. Air leak will usually throw a lean at idle code.

Let us know if you find out.

45kmiles, been noticed few time the rpm was bouncing around when slowing down(back into neutral).....

Still could be injector issues or o2. Is it intermintent, or constant hesitation? Is the idle rough? Check the spark plugs tomorrow. Are you on step colder plugs? You def need to be. Are you tuned at all?

Sorry for being all over the place. Just keep thinking of more things to check.

stock tuned, stock spark plug.i checked the o2 awhile ago, it look fine to me just kinda dirty.

big turbo, downpipe, test pipe, intake, exhaust manifold w/ ewg, fmic, bov set to VTA, ngk iridium IX, upgraded fp, STOCK TUNE for 6k+ miles.

myth solved.

I would more than highly suggest you get a tune. With your mods, mainly full catless DP, your car is running higher boost than stock, and creating much more heat. The whole purpose of a tune is to add more fuel to cool down the combustion chamber. If you do not, you will lean out, and eventually blow your motor. It is bery dangerous to run our cars, or any car, with heavy modifications and no tune.

Do not trust the prosport boost gauge. My AP proves that my prosport is incredibly off! Mine was 4-6 psi off. You need step colder plugs right away! That's the cause of your misfire, and could solve all your problems. Also I would get an AP, or standback. I would suggest AP. Very easy, datalogging, and cobb just broke through the load cap barrier. So it can do EVERYTHING now. A tune with your setup is needed. Tuning my car was by far the best mod I have done.

You can run it on stock tune, I did with no issues, besides better throttle response and quieter running engine...some say it will foul faster, well most of us don't really baby the car so it'll be fine. If you need some ITV20's I have a NEW set sitting the garage I'm not using I can sell ya...since I'm running the ITV22's with my tune, not that I really need it, but better safe then sorry.

it is really nessesery to run step colder on our car? its safe to run it on stock tuned?

I know cobb reccomends using 1-step colder if you use their tunes, but not sure if you're just using Mods without a tune. I know when I changed to Denos ITV22's before I had the AP my car ran much smoother.
