What wire(s) on the fog light switch and/or dimmer switch can I tap for 12v ignition and 12v switched constant? What color and/or location? This is for an electronic A/F gauge. I did a search but couldn't find an answer.

I wouldn't use any wires at the dimmer switch except for illumination. THey are not men to power anything, just trip relays.

Agreed, the wire for Ignition can be found direclty on your key switch. there are two positions. Use a milt meter and choose the one that suits your needs.

The Dimmer one can be found behind the stereo...

Turns out my ground was bad. I also had to move my White (illumination) wire to a different wire on the dimmer switch (green/black wire I believe). Now it works fine! Can't dim the gauge with my dash lights, but that's okay since I never dim them anyway.

Thanks for the help/suggestions!

Sorry, didn't want to start new thread and this is kinda on topic....

Going to install Eurolite Alarm LED's (sans alarm)... and need to hook up LED's to ignition and 12V power. Do i just splice these new wires onto the ignition harness? Can i then just ground to chassis, or is there a ground in the ig. harness also?

Thanks

The Led will only use a minimal draw. You are turning it on only when the car is running??? Oh have you some sort of relay to turni it on, only when the car is off???

They're actually meant to flash/light only when the ignition is turned off. Do i need to use a relay, or can i just change the wiring around so they flash when ignition is turned off?

To flash, they mush be wired off of th ealarm itself, not the ignition harness although, if needed you can use that as its power, but you should be using the contant power I would think.

Is there an online manual for these?

I believe it says that they can be installed with or without a alarm.

LED'S continuosly flash with engine OFF, continuosly ON optional

Red...*...12V+ battery
White....ignition........ (De-activates led's when 12v+ applied)
Green....12V+ positive (Turns led's ON constant)
Black.....ground
*=optional switch location

All these wires should be in the steering harness, so i can just tap into those right?

I have to assume then this isn't just an LED, there is a box with a circuit of some kind in it?

Eithier way, you can use the wires at the ingition harness as you mentioned.
