Hey guys... I'm quickly getting to 12k on my car. I was wondering what normal items are included in wear & tear so that I can go take it in? I tried a search, came out negative.

It's better to be safe and take the car in now, instead of after 12k and get screwed...

Wear and Tear are parts which normally wear out under normal usage. They are parts like brake pads, rotors, clutch, pressure plate, struts, spark plugs, light bulbs, tires, etc. Sometimes dealers will make exceptions, and this list is by no means all inclusive.

One thing that was interesting is my dealer said the timing belt is covered if it snaps before the normal service interval of 105K miles. I'm not sure the validity of their statement, but it makes sense. The owner's manual also explains some of the items covered and not covered.

So do dealers allow you to take your car in to inspect for these items? I would like to take it in to check, just in case I do need any of them.

They will let you take it in, but most of them charge rediculous amounts of money for it. Sometimes they will have a coupon for a free inspection or discounted one.
