those are the exact tire i am getting...... have you been peeking ???
i think these tires will go just as fast as any of the full blown slicks out there on these cars. there are cars that run 7's these days on DR's. radials have come a long way. the only reason these are called radials is because you dont need to run tubes in them. (and well cuz they have radial tread). the hoosier web site even states .... although these tires have a DOT approval, they ARE NOT RECOMMENDED FOR STREET DRIVING !! the folks pulling 1.8 60ft. times now are launching at like 2500 RPM... i'm sure these will hook just fine. hell if i (and others) can pull a 2.0 60ft. on stock rubber...i'm sure these will do the trick. and if they do allow a little spin.... i'm sure the halfshafts will thank me later !

Not even spit, more like ant s***!!! I hate how fwd pulls you in crazy directions with just street tires on. Couldn't imagine with slicks!!!

tru boost. Just to let you know those tires suck in the fwd applications. ive ran them on several cars and they literally blow. The tires off that is. The problem is the 3 is so short geared that when you add even shorter tires it becomes an issue. I tried these and they spun very hard on the mazda. Thats why I went with the tires I did. Maybe they will work a little better for you.

ps. i tried these tires at the track before I even put on the boost controller and they still spun bad.

well that is what i am using.... and this tire is actually TALLER than stock by almost exactly 1". i cant see them being that bad. there are several SRT4 guys running them with 1.7 60ft. times !my buddy (srt owner) is actually the one who turned me on to them !

They are shorter by .7". :)

you are correct i had a typo in the tire calculator.... i typed 60 instead of 50 for the sidewall height.....my bad.

Can anyone provide a clarification on the race fuel thing? The OP mentioned that he ran race fuel...was this pointless or can you add this to a stock car? There is a Race Track gas station by my house that sells 100 octane...if this can help my car that only has a CAI, it's worth a fill up every once in a while :)

BTW, great job on the times....isn't that super car territory?

I replied to the race fuel stuff before. Its smart that he is running higher octane because of his boost level, downpipe and no tune. Its not giving him more power, just a safer car with his aggreeive boosting. If he would throw a standback on that thing, he could tune for race fuel and methanol and damn near hit an 11. However, if youre not overboosting, youre not going to gain anything until you get a tune to take advantage of the race fuel ( more timing and fuel for an aggressive race tune ) I hope that helps.

driver311, have you dynoed your car...?
I wonder how much HP/TQ he is pushing to get those times... I would love to see that setup on a dyno...

I am shooting for 300HP at the wheels and I'm calling it quits...
I think thats more than enough... LOL

You say that now but trust me you will want more. :)

I had the same goal with my car originally. 300 whp and that is it. LOL, yeah whatever. I got to that point and then wanted more. So more money spent. Now about 330-340 whp, stockish turbo and still want more. N2O kit sitting in my garage waiting to go in for a 50-75 shot. :)

Either way great times and hp for the dude with the 311 whp and 12.7, I am really impressed. Keep up the great work. (headbang)

Hey driver311, this run was on 15 inch slicks.
How much time would be taken off from your et if you would have gone with a radial? And, what size radial would you suggest? 16 inch?

(lol2) yeah, thats usually how it goes... Once you get to your goal...you get used to the power and then it feels sloooow...then you want more...
