101 octane gas in South. Florida

2 new gas stations just started offering 101 octane gas....1 in weston. (exxon)..$2.75 a gallon and one on US-27 (sunoco....$6.00 a gallon not sure bout this.....i bout the $2.75 a gallon and boy did my car rip (96 sentra)....raced a supercharged 350z and barely lost by 4 1\2..........bus lengths......so if u live in the area and want some extra juice to go with ur boost here the place to get it...have fun and drive fast.....

My dad was telling me that supposedly Sunoco was gonna start selling gas in Cali, or maybe just up here in northern Cali(I forget). Do you think there is a chance they will sell anything over 91 octane?

Well honestly I have never seen a Sunoco in California. I've lived as far north as San Luis which is like 2-3 hours south of San Fran. The highest the Cali sells as "standard" that I've ever seen is 91. You can always buy Unocal Race Fuel (I know my dad's deep into the company) and some special big service stations have 105 octane. There were 2 Unocals in So Cal that had 105 octane and one of them has dropped to......101 I think. But the good one still has 105.

Heh that was long but basically no. I've heard no talk of Sunoco or seen a station. And only special Unocals have the race gas at the pump, but if you go through the right channels you can always buy it. Dont quote me on this but I remember the 105 was like....$5-7 a gallon, more towards 5.

exxon ...when u get off at arvida make a left at light and it will be on ur right hand side.....the sunoco is on US-27 on the left side (not the everglades side) its before u hit johnson street if ur coming from weston

The Exxon Gas is leaded 100 octane Aviation gas... Is that safe to use in the 'speed?

You can always go to a big drag strip and just buy race fuel from them. The places here have little Unocal Trucks where you can buy it on the track, very nice.

Leaded fuel is bad for the cats and the 02 sensors. I've only seen unleaded racing fuel go up to 104, however, most are at 100.

Poked around the exxon site and didn't find much more than it's 100 octane leaded fuel for private and light commercial use piston engine prop planes....
Worst case scenario I've got a place to fill up my '70 455 GS
