my first car saw over 250,000 miles before rotting away into oblivion, owned an 82 celica that saw 225,000 miles before selling it and a ford aerostar (crap) that racked up probably 300,000 miles. hard to say when the digital dash fried out for the third time.

i finished up car payments recently and while i have newcar envy (aric and my wife have brand new cars) they have nopayment envy and both i and my wallet enjoy that.

I currently live 1.9 miles from work. Home for lunch every day = 8 miles a day and I still racked up almost 8K miles in 5 months.

s***, if I lived 1.9 miles from work, I'd cycle or walk. **** the drive; I wouldn't miss owning a car and commuting if I was able to.

I wouldn't bike it in the winter. When it's warmer, I ride my bike to work on the erie canal trail and it takes 90 minutes each way (going fast, averaging 20mph on gravel trail)

I wish work was that close to me bah

I'm the kind of guy who when doing any physical activity, i sweat like a mofo. Doesn't help that I'm a fat guy either. LOL

I did ride once to work, I sat at my desk sweating for 45 mins after I got there and I had that "I just did physical activity" smell to me all day. no thanks, I'll drive and deal. LOL

Wait, who are you punching every day?

My girlfriend has a 45 min commute. One morning I talked to her on the cell phone as I left the house and drove to work. She was so pissed when I told her I just parked the car and she still had 30 min to go. (burnout)

I'm 4.5 miles from work... been considering riding my bike once it gets warmer out.
