I went to the strip last nite and did about four runs.
I ran a 9.72 on the first pass
I ran a 9.62 on 10lbs of boost! second time,(nana)
I ran a 9.65 third
I ran a 9.62 on my fourth (shocked)
I am curious on what i need to do next to jump into the low 9's or high 8's..
I have a 3in downpipe and exhaust, fmic/intake, and boost controller is all my motor mod's, i need to know what to get or do to make it faster..
(help)

what mph on those runs?

A good launch is all you need to get into the low 9s. Ive been 9.2-9.4 several times because of good launching. Ive also been stuck in the 9.6-9.9 range because of alot of bad launches. Consistently trapping 76-78mph on all the runs too.

This car needs better tires, and motor mounts to really get off the line very fast. The potenzas are ok... but theyre too stiff for drag racing and cause wheel hop issues. Motor mounts help alot but its still not perfect.

Youve got the mods for 8s, just need seat time and better tires. Drag radials are great, but if you want street/strip tires. Try Eagle f1 gs-d3s or gforce t/a KDs or KDW2s.

i ran 9.29@78 with just hard pipes and 8psi and injen. what was ure 60ft's? i had 2.25 with that setup. now i have fmic,3 inch apex,10psi,injen,fcd i ran a 13.55@102 with 2.19 60ft not sure what the 1/8 mile was slip is at home. i think 8.8x something at 82

evry track is different, i would get a set of drag radials if you are racing a lot, also maybe a spacer in the rear springs to keep the weight transfer to a min.

what rpm's are you launching at? Ive only been to the track with it twice so i am still working out my launch bugs and trying to get more seat time.. And ill check into some better tires for the strip

Thanks

on street tires launch about 1500 to 2000 at the most and slip the clutch. u should be making some good power so its going to be hard no matter what, unless u get slicks. i got drag radials and only droped from 2.25 to 2.19

I have the same mods as you, except i'm running stock boost. I run consistent 9.7xx's at 72 mph. I'm pulling 2.1-2.2 60 foot times consitently on toyo proxes 4's. I launch from 3000 rpm, and slip the clutch. This launching technique works for me but like I said i'm at stock boost. I just ordered unichip so I figure i'll have to change my technique. I'll soon have a lot more torque.
