Can someone who knows more about both create an advantage/disadvantage comparison of each before I blow more money on my weak little car? It was a long time ago since I read up on the Thunder header, but I recall that you still need to do something special to get it to work or avoid the CEL.
Protephile said:OBX does not include the CEL eliminator. The probable reason the OBX did not throw a CEL is because '99 and '00 Non-California 1.6's do not have a pre-cat and the 2nd 02 sensor is not required. You just cap it off.

adedude said:No airtools + clueless = bad idea. I have been reading up on installs online and it sounds like experienced people can do it in 30 min while newbs can take over 4 hours! Anyway, it's not worth my time (or money when I severly mess up my car), so I'm planning to take it to my family mechanic for $80. He lives 40 miles away from me so I'm wondering if somewhere nearby will be able to do it for maybe a lower price without sacrificing quality. Would appreciate any advice! Thanks!
Blade4804 said:Where are you located?
Blade4804 said:I should be in Tacoma Washington in July sometime, not that I would have time to install your header since i am there for my best friends wedding
but I could stop by and say hi.
