1/4 Track

I'm just curious to see what you guys do in the 1/4 mile... As well as I'm curious to see has anyone went to the track with a FMIC and downpipe back exhaust system ran in the 1/4 mile?

I ran my stock msp at gateway international raceway on tuesday night and made four passes. My 1/4 mile times were 16.1, 15.9, 15.8 and 16.0. This was my first time I have ever been at a drag strip, I'm sure a person more experienced at a drag strip could get their times down by a couple of tenths over mine. I will be at other drag strip in about a week. plus I plan on gettiing the new ecu flash. I want to se how the msp runs with the new ecu flash compared to the old settings.

i have a forge motorsports blow off valve, open air filter and 2.5 inch exhaust piping with stock muffler.

i can ran 15.8 constantly with no cool down time.
with cool down time my best was 15.5 @ 88 mph.

Did you notice a difference with your 2.5" exhaust system? Was this cat back?

What was your trap speed? 60 ft times?

I think the best I did was 2.35, don't count me on that one. I have the time slips at home. I'll look them up and see what I did and post them tomorrow.

yes, its a cat-back to stock muffler.
i couldn't say that there was a great hp jump but the car does feel like there is more power and more top end.
compared to the stock muffler there is way less bends (only 3)and no resenator.
to get the most out of the exhaust system you would need to get a better flowing muffler.

Wow thats a nice number then. 15.5. I went to LACR a local track in Cali. It's about 3k elevation and i ran a 16.129. I forgot what I ran track speed wise. It converted out to like 15.7 - 15.8 at sea level. I really dont know what to think... I think i just suck at driving.

With just a mbc @ 9psi I ran 15.3 @ 91mph in 85 degree weather. First time at the track. I think just raising the boost with our rich conditions hurts the car. We're supposed to trap atleast 93mph stock. Don't know why you guys are trapping ~88mph.

However, after I added intake and Joe's fuel pressure reduction (FPR) mod, I noticed a HUGE gain in performance. Mainly due to the FPR. There are guys here running 11psi with the FPR and doing 14.1s @ 100mph. Now that's what the car is supposed to be doing. And it sounds exactly right. I pull SRT-4s by a car length going into 4th, and they trap 99-100mph stock. I'm going back to the track after I get my 3" downpipe & exhaust on.
