1/4 mile Times.

No Problem is the name of our Sugar Cane based Racetrack lol. It's the best we've got, and it's out in the freakin' boonies. Nothing but Sugar Cane fields, and then bam a racetrack?!

Went to an event called Street Battle this weekend and got to run my car after waiting in a 2 hour line. Same mods, nothing new, best time of a 16.787 with a R/T of .122, it was my third and last run of the night. The run before that was a 16.858 with a R/T of .301, trap speeds were around 80-82 mph. I don't remember doing anything different, but it's an improvement over my 16.94 which I'm stoked about. I think it's was the anger built up in me after waiting ina 2 hour line and getting cut off by an annoying little civic with unpainted bumpers.

Yep, we made 10 passes. Anyone who claims higher numbers than that is talking out their ass.

Also, I don't have the header installed yet, and the BCC got torn off in frustration one night while broke down in Baton Rouge. Bascially It was I/E on the track with a mild gut.

Those numbers suck so bad. You must not be launching right. I ran a 16.3 with broke motor mounts so my launches were soft.

ATX or MTX it makes a world of difference. You have to remember that I'm on an ATX and a 2.0l, not the 2.3 so I'm at quite the disadvantage to those 2.3 MTX guys.

Oh hell, then that's not a bad time at all. I think the Auto proteges are running high 17s.

Yeah, it's alot harder to make my ATX launch like I want it. I hoping that I can shave off another 3/10ths once the header gets installed, or maybe just driving. I guess it all depends on the track conditions and how i'm driving on a certain day,

not this AT Protege :)

man i thought M3 with some mods would be fun and somewhat quick, but those numbers ehh

peace

It's definately a fun car, and those numbers aren't that bad considering it's a 2.0l with I/E. Once the header gets installed I'm sure it will be alot more fun. We've already got a guy with I/E plus the OBX running 16.3s, but I think I can beat that.

my 2.0 runs 16.2.... haha

this is interesting, i don't here much of the 3's times...

i still thing the 2.3 would be a beast in a pro...

Years ago I could run a 16.9-17.0 sec quarter with a 60's or 70's VW Bug with a mostly stock 1600cc air-cooled motor.....our Mazdas should be much faster than this...

You have to look at the weight though. That bug was lighter then my couch.

Our 3's weigh roughly what an 01 Mustang GT weighs. My boss had his weighed and it turned up, they were almost the same, except the 3 has s*** power to back it up. . .
