Hello !
Just a question, I have a 2009 mazda 3 with 84000km on it. It's been a fantastic car with never any issues. I recently had the CEL come on aand the code that came up for it was p2402. Upon calling my mazda dealer I learned that it was the leak detection pump... upon researching I've discovered that they've racalled the mazda 6 leak detection pump a few years back.. and several other people have had the same issue on the 3's. Only they had almost double the kms on the car. Is it possible that a gas cap perhaps can set off the same code ? My car is now a tank on gas. Anyone else had the same issue? And out of curiosity why wasn't the 3 recalled also ? Just trying to figure out if it could possibly be something else before I sell my soul to mazda to fix this issue. ( I have yet to actually bring it to them and pulled the code at home myself.)
