I just put a deposit on a red 07 speed3 grand touring. i pick it up and finalize paperwork on thursday (i gotta deal with millitary papers and stuff to get a break with taxes and title). i can't wait. only regret is test driving it almost a week before i can drive off with it. it was a pain to find one with what i wanted, so i had to get the ticket-getter red, but with all the purty red trim and lighting inside, it matches. i'm excited.

next i can start the mod process (CAI, downpipe, BOV and chip are first on my list) and make it my own.

any other speed3's out there? i know they're not very common with how new/hard to find they are. any suggestions for parts or any other mods? i'm not too worried about looks (debadging, body mods, etc...) i like the stock/sleeper look, although i will get it tinted. thanks in advance for any info!

Currently i'm in Groton, CT, but i'm from southern california. i miss home. haha. i'm an E-2 in the navy, still going through school. i'm an electronics technician - communications in the submarine fleet out here. should be interesting.

a chip as a mod? where do you plan on getting that? there are none made.

yeah, i thought about that. it's so new, that i wasn't sure if anybody had cracked it yet, but i'm sure there'll be a chip soon enough. it wont take long for some car/computer geek to figure a way to tune the daylights out of it... i hope. hehe. thank you though.

i think your best couple mods should be CAI, TBE, DP. Those mods on the MS3 make the car a beast. The CAI alone net's around 20+WHP.
