06 shinka rx8 keys lost....locksmith or dealer.....plz help!!!!!

i just bought a 2006 shinka Rx8 from the auction ......but it did not come with a key.....now its one of those cars u can unlock with out a key just by a having the transponder...they keep telling me that its a smart key card.....but my question is do i really need the key card or can i just call a locksmith n program the transponder to it n have a key made for it...or can some one giude me to the right direction on how to get my rx8 going from steps a to b.......i already tried dealership but there prices are way thru the roof......trying to find the cheapest way to go....thanks....

dealership is going to be the only ones that are going to have the means to reprogram the system to work with new keys.

You need to contact Locksmith for a new key.
