so the new mazda6 r comin' out sept/oct??...

i was plannin' on purchasing da '04 mazda6s but only thing holdin' me bak is lack of options

will the '05 mazda6 have navigation and mp3 player? and all the goodies as da mazda3?? or jus those 3 changes and no extra options???....

if not than i guess my search for car continues.... i will get new car in '05 spring season, maby by than they'll have it

went drivin past several dealerships diz weekend n saw the galant GTS different than other models n got sport shifter so daz now an option.

The 6 sp is a new tranny...of which the details are "secret".

The 100 lbs comes from different stock options...which add 100 lbs to some of the car models. (Like the 6s MTX and 6i MTX).

Otherwise its just an overall packing change with a few different options. The link to the changes was posted a few months ago, but has since been taken down. Maybe you can find someone to host it again, I sure ain't takin the risk as mazda tends to "frequent" alot of these forums watching for such activity.

Well, if they put a 6 spd auto tranny, there is absolutely no point what so ever to keep it a FWD, it will have to be a AWD or RWD

There is no RWD or AWD 6 in 05. The only slated AWD Mazda 6 is the European Wagon (L3 Engine, AWD), and the 06/07 Mazdaspeed 6, which isn't even on the dealerlist for 05...but the 05 mazdaspeed miata is. (Mazda only does one mazdaspeed per year). Earliest you'll see an AWD 6 is oct/nov 05...or the 06 yr releases. More then likely it won't be till 07 as mazda doesn't want to impact their current selling frenzy, nor do they want to edge on the rx8 sales yet.

The new tranny is just really really really farking strong. Like Turbomatic 400 strong. There isn't any LSD, or any new drivetrain applications.

I love how you guys read a random article on autoweek and suddenly its the word of god....when if you read the fine print, it even says on autoweeks site that these are just "estimations" and the cars shown may not even be entering production.

Now I can't speak for oversea's car's...but there isn't any AWD Turbo 6 coming out in the states in 05.

i know!! good mate of mine works for an auto mag here in oz, was an official press release from mazda australia which he did show me...

i think mazda felt bad, coz we can never have a V6 due to the RHD layout

Mazda does work independently in other countries...but I still doubt anyone other then Japan is going to get the Mz6speed first...japan's gotta make fun of us for at least a year first. You know, like they do with the damned 176 bhp Mazda 6i JDM spec. Grr. Lighter AND faster.

hell they made fun of us with the sport 20, then you guys turned around and said, oh well you have that, we'll have the Turbo!!!! no other area except north america gets the mazdaspeed

The JDM spec 6 is so much sexier too...they don't have to have those giant freaking 5 mph bumpers or what not...so the rear end is tucked in alot tighter, and the front bumper is sleeker....which also results in weight savings as well.

Man if I got this right...I think the JDM spec 6i is under 2900 lbs...with 176 bhp. no fair.
