'05 Mazda3 changes (US & Canadian-spec)

What was the price (CAD) originally when the Mazda 3 came out?

A couple months ago, Mazda Canada raised the '04 Mazda3 prices by $100 (across the board for all Mazda3 trims). They actually raised the invoice price, so even those on plans have to pay this premium. However, the reason for this price increase is different than the US - the Canadian reason was simply because they were selling so well.

However, in the US, automakers (not just Mazda), typically raise MSRP prices slightly near the end of a model year and of course raise them again for the next model year (this makes the price jump between years seem not so big). But again, this is MSRP, and in the US, any knowledgeable buyer will work from invoice up (instead of MSRP down), so this price increase is negligable or zero althogether. And yes, the US-spec '04 Mazda3 MSRP has recently been raised (just a couple hundred or something small like that).

Some more Canadian-spec '05 changes:

- GS and GX trims, no more beige interior (all exterior colours with beige interior will come with black interiors)
- Winning Blue to be added to Mazda3 sedan GT GFX

Though I don't know for sure, I would say 90% the orange sedan GT GFX is gone, just like in US-spec (orange remains on the hatchback for both US and Canada).

gf want an automatic mazda3 sport (eeww..i hate that last word)
the gas/brake pedal are so close to each other in the automatic version.
hope they do something in the '05
