I just wanted to post my before and after pics of removing haze from my headlights. I used a cleaning kit from Autozone followed by McGuires PlastX. It worked out great!!! Very impressed!!!

Damn, that's about what mine look like right now. 103,000 miles of highway driving and they look like they have been sandblasted to hell. Those turned out pretty damn good. I Need to try it in the Spring....

Yeah, I definately need to do this. I blacked out my headlights yesterday and didn't realize how bad they were until then.

I have attached a picture of the cleaning kit below. I believe you can get this at Autozone, Advance Auto Parts, and probably Walmart. I would go to Autozone first, that is where I got it or if you are just to lazy or busy to get it yourself, you can also find it online, just Google it. If you use a buffing attachment for the McGuires PlastX, it would probably turn out even better.

Wow... how did they get so hazed in the first place?

I am not quite sure what caused the hazing, I just purchased my P5 in December w/ 59,000 miles on it. I live in Melbourne, FL so maybe its the salt in the air from the beach combined with usual wear and tear from driving around.

I used that kit and it did not seem to do much, I might not have buffed the headlights long enough I guess. The PlastX did the most for me

Because of this thread i went down to autozone after class today and grabbed the restorer kit and Plastix, used the restorer kit then plastix, and it looks brand new :) thanks for the heads up! i was about to buy a new headlamp

I am glad I was able to help you save money, enjoy your "new" headlights. If you have pics of the before and after, or just after, post them up!! Same goes for anyone else who tries this!

Lavender oooooo!

I tried Mothers and a buffing wheel and it got about half of it off!
This is why i never blacked out my headlights. I figured the haze would look 100x worse. There is hope before buying 2 new headlights woohoo!
