2001 mazda 626 2.0l
I have an 2001 626 2.0L DOHC 184k auto. Anyway I bought the car for 2 bills as a non runner it would crank and had spark but wouldn't fire so my initial assumption was the timing belt had slipped. Well I got it home checked the timing and it's dead on the belt looks fine. Checked the spark it's solid, fuel pressure at the rail is 70-80 psi. Injector pulse is nice and consistant using my noid light my hand held doesn't give me any codes and the car cranks over good. compression is around 120 across the board. What else could it be I am stumped. I really want the car to run cuz it will save me a ton on fuel over my truck and it's a pretty decent little car.

Throw your thoughts out there please I need any input.

could the injectors all be blocked?

I pulled the rail and turned the motor over and they all squirted. I got it to fire for the first time yesterday. It fired I blew out the cyls and then let it idle while I cleaned all my tools off of it. I took it for a drive and it ran good but wouldn't idle it would die. I got it back to the house and it would die and when I restarted it it would bog and I'd have no throttle then all of the sudden the throttle would kick in. It did this a couple time and then it wouldn't start again. Tried it again today and nothing reverified spark and it seems as tho I am not getting any fuel to the cylinders which is screwy because the injectors I know are spraying. Any thoughts Im stumped.

yes and after it ran it threw 2 codes p0117 and a p0102 low input on the mass air flow and low input on the coolant temp sensor niether of which should proclude it from starting in my opinion.
