0* F and MSP doesn't mind

Front suspension is crunching like mad and it doesn't go away after the car warms up like it does in a little warmer (still cold) weather. Motor is running fine and doesn't seem to mind breathing the cold air.

Any other MSP'er's experiencing the deep freeze? How's it going?

I wonder how much cold weather testing they did when they designed the MSP? I doubt a ton given the front suspension crunch.

-35 degrees celsius this morning with the windchill. The car was a bloody popsicle.
It started though. It was a b**** to get into reverse, the clutch was a brick. My poor baby !

(rofl) so true
mine started just fine, but the tranny doesn't shift real well until it is fully warmed up

i get the crunch and crack from the front suspension in the moring when i leave for work

I get the front bushing crunch in cold weather, after driving for a while it quiets down. I ordered the updated bushings to fix the problem.

I agree with the tranny being stiff in very cold temps. The Redline synthetic gear oil helps with this a bit. Put it in my MP5.

I get the front crunch sound too on chilly mornings, but it goes away quickly once I'm off and running...and thankfully there aren't too many chilly days here, so I'm not often bothered by it... :D

It's one degree F here and I got no noise in front. Tranny was hard to shift in general till it warmed up. I get a constant 7psi on these cold days. The car pulls hard.

its about 20 degrees here in nc and my suspension has been crunching for atleast a month. it goes away after a few minutes of driving though

It stops going away when its 0* f or less. Mine crunches loudly all the way home from work. Like you're running over soda cans when you hit uneven pavement.

In milder temps (say 10-30*f), it warms up and goes away quickly.

No crunch generally above freezing- this is the front suspension, not the rear.

Even with a covnersion chart nobody in the US knows what the metric system means. Jibberish!

Here it was exactly -40 C (which is also -40 F) this morning. REAL cold. My car has all you mentionned above PLUS this wierd thing :

My instrumentation was all messed up. Belt alarm was sounding like a police siren and never went off. Gaz was below E, Temp below C, Speed always at 0, same for rpm. It was kind of bizarre running 60 with nothing showing on the gauges.

After a time it warmed up and it was... well, squick squiws, tuk tok, squwish... I don't even have my rear bushings changed yet !

Oh and I had to hold my door, impossible to close it, for... 20 minutes. :bs:
