    Best Brakepads?

    "Dry" Lubricant for brake pads

Hmmm, I'll have to look for it . Anything to keep from going through a set of brake pads every 20K miles. Part of the problem is the road id covered with crusher stone. It has a binder that is similar to concrete. When it gets wet and then dries into a very hard crust.

    "Dry" Lubricant for brake pads

Might help a little but the major source of dust is from the stuff that builds up on the inside of the rim. As long as the wheel is turning the centripetal force holds the dust against the inside of the rim. But as soon as he wheel stops, all the dust on the upper part of the wheel falls on...

    "Dry" Lubricant for brake pads

Already tried graphite. Hard to get it to adhere to the surfaces and not much staying power.

    "Dry" Lubricant for brake pads

Is there any such thing as a "Dry" Lubricant to put on the disc brake clips? I know you are supposed to put brake grease on the M clips to help the pads slide back and forth. My problem is that I live on a dirt/gravel road and the dust and junk that gets kicked up mixes with the grease. This...

My car makes a bunch of weird noises!

It covers the exhaust header on the front of the engine. It's just a piece of stamped sheet metal.

    I've had it with headlights

I agree. If someone comes up with and adapter that would mount with the two screws that hold the spring clip, they could make a lot of money.

    cold starts

Switch to a synthetic engine oil. It doesn't get thicker when it's cold. If you have a stick shift, switch to synthetic oil there too.

    I've had it with headlights

If your P5 is going through a lot of low beam bulbs it's because the spring clip that holds them in has been deformed and is not holding them in place firmly. This allows the bulbs to vibrate on rough roads or when crossing something like RR tracks. Vibrating a bulb with a hot filament creates...

Try this stuff: http://www.autogeek.net/diamondite-headlight-how-to.html. Just did mine and the headlights are clear and scratch free. You can actually buy it cheaper on Amazon.

    Rear brake help!!!

When you adjust the piston with the hex key, tighten it until you can't turn the rotor by hand, then back it off just1/3rd of a turn.

    15 Inch Rims for a P5 2002

Go to tirerack.com and they can set you up with a 15" wheel and Bridgestone Blizzak's that fit your car. (Blizzaks are not made in the low profile size that is stock on the PR5) I did mine last year for less than $165 per wheel (that's wheels, tires, mounting, road hazard insurance, balancing...

My car makes a bunch of weird noises!

Check the heat shield that covers the exhaust header in the engine compartment. Metal fatigue will cause the areas around the bolts to crack and break away. Once loose, it rattles against the exhaust system so the sound can seem to be coming from anywhere along the exhaust system. Some...
