Got a tape measure finally. Front measures 12.7" from the bottom lip of the fender to the center of the wheel. Rears both measure 11.8-11.9". ideas/suggestions?

Yep you're right. Got my 215/35 put on them and they fit fine. I dunno what I was looking at the first time. Guess I didn't have the wheel on straight. I'm getting old. Now to decide which springs to lower it. Coil-overs are $$$$$$$.

bought them last night. they are 18x8 with 50mm offset. even without tires on them i can see they won't fit. they are right against the lower part of the strut. literally making contact with the strut. no way they'd fit with tires on them. i'm bummed (cryhard)

I wasn't really a hatchback guy until I got my P5...now I love it. Of course I got plenty of good natured "hey nice station wagon" from coworkers, but it eventually grew on them too. But for some reason the Mazda 3 just looks sorta "too tall and fat"...but I do like this new MS3....hmmm....
