I had the same issue. Put a boost gauge in the car and noticed the inches where way high. Squeezed the line going to the wastegate and it went right to 20 inchs. Replaced it with the $100 wastgate from protege garage and its been mint. Redlines every gear smooth.

I just installed the $65 Wastegate from Protege Garage. Sits at 19inchs vacuum now and 22 when I'm driving and let off the gas. No more fuel cut or boost spikes either. Also the EGT temp is way lower seeing that the turbo does not have to work so hard anymore. Redlined 1st thru 4th no issues.

I have a mechanical boost, narrow band air fuel, and a EGT on the way. Anyone have the specs for the computer so I know what wire to splice into for the air fuel gauge? Also maybe a picture of where people have had the best luck installing the T for the boost gauge. Thanks, adam

Yeah, I'm all stock. The colder it is the more it fuel cuts. Is there a after market computer out there?? I'm thinking I might try a boost controller set at 6 lbs. I don't get why the wastegate does not stop it at 6 like it should.

I was running 19 lbs in my 95 gsx on premium. 300 to the wheels. 12.9 1/4. Wish I could find another one of those floating around to do it all over again. 145 down the front strech at Road America is lots of fun.
