    2007 MS6 Ground cable locations

Hello, Can someone share the locations of the grounds for a 2007 MS6? My thermometer goes from C to F every morning and I've been having some random long crank start issues lately. Thanks Spooler

    blue smoke after long idle

Sound like turbo seals are leaking oil....check the piping connections to the intercooler or right after it. If you see oil residue, you got your answer (not a good thing...)

I'll do that tomorrow morning, today we are above freezing and the issue is not occurring.

    Cold weather drivetrain question

That's why I am puzzled by this. Anybody else with such issue?

    Cold weather drivetrain question

Car is in neutral before I crank, as described in your first startup procedure. I think something is freezing in the transfer case or rear diff since this only occurs under very cold temperatures. My initial startegy was to replace all fluids to see if it helps. Anybody else with this issue? I'm...

    Cold weather drivetrain question

I came to that conclusion based on the fact that there is no physical way to engage the front wheels if the tranny is not in gear. And it feels like a rear squat more than a front pull/rear squat.

    Cold weather drivetrain question

Hey guys, My car is experiencing something weird under cold weather (below 15F) at startup. With transmission in neutral, the RPM drops drastically (like 500 rpm) when I release the clutch. What concerns me is that the car moves or squats if the hand brake it is engaged. So power is making it...

Losing power and Engine light.. HELP PLEASE!!!

Glad to hear your MS6 is back in shape. Yeah, sometimes who we think are the pros are not that great (like the dealership leaving my airbox opened...). Thanks for your feedback on the RMM. I have an oil change scheduled for next week, I'll make them take a look while I'm there. My 1st to 2nd...

Losing power and Engine light.. HELP PLEASE!!!

Already 5 C in Calgary!!! Still around 13 C in the morning in Mtl. It could be related to the car wash. I would check if the CAI is wet (and kick their ass if it is) or if there is water close the ignition system. Tough call without the code. Just curious, did you replace your RMM because it...

New member but long time MS6 owner

Welcome! I'm sure you are looking forward to next winter! 1993 240SX SE, my first car. Great machine, other than the average 2.4 engine, the car was a great piece of engineering.

    new turbo?

Quoting from another website: What does that mean? Basically this means that the the car's computer has detected that not all of the engine's cylinders are firing properly. A P0300 diagnostic code indicates a random or multiple misfire. If the last digit is a number other than zero, it...

    new turbo?

Good point Preferio. Your "how to" would definitely help Tw0LeGIT troubleshoot his turbo.

    new turbo?

The syptoms don't look like a canned turbo. Sometimes a vaccum leak or broken wastegate actuator can feel pretty harsh under acceleration. To check if your turbo is done, do this: 1) Loosen clamp connecting airbox to cold pipe (cold pipe goes from airbox to turbo intake). Disconnect cold pipe...

Clunk / Conk noise when shifting into Second Gear.

Check the front engine mount. Mine had similar symptoms, clunck on 2nd gear when shifting, particularly when cold. They are oil filled, sometimes you can see some dirty around them.

2nd gear tough to select when cold

Car is definitely better when car is warm or in warmer temperatures. It has been warmer over here lately and it has been much better. It feels harder to select, similar feeling as trying to select first gear when moving. What are the typical symptoms associated with bad tranny bushings?

2nd gear tough to select when cold

Any thoughts? The dealership said it could be the transmission bushings. I noticed it gets better as the car warms up, so I doubt it's the bushings.

What have you done to your MS6 today?

AC stopped working so took it in to get it checked....condeser is leaking....$650 to fix it, cost $150 for the leak test...it's been an expensive year for my MS6, I just spent $700 on oil changes and other maintenance items...

2nd gear tough to select when cold

Mine got worst lately. As the car warm up it becomes easier. I want to keep the car stock, if it's the RMM I will replace it with a stock one (yes, Sure and AWR are better, but I rather avoid the vibration since I have a young child). Keep the comments coming!

2nd gear tough to select when cold

Hey Guys, I am having some on and off issues with my 2nd gear. When cold the car is cold, it is difficult to select 2nd gear. Today I even had some difficulty with 1st gear. It seems to get better when the car warms up. No grind, just the rubbery felling you get when you can't get it into gear...
