If the MM did go bad you would be able to shake the top of the motor and see alot of play (north/south for MM) but before anything check the wheel weights, other than that you might have hit something that bumped it out of alignment but i say start small and go from there.

Well there is a knob right in the middle of the car that turns both clockwise and counter clockwise, you can all ways give that a shot lol Get a true boost gauge with a vac reading and it will help you if you just want to keep it out of boost.
