I've got the NGK coppers in it. I read up before replacing them. I pulled and cleaned the EGR valve like it has never been cleaned before and now its doing fine. I also know aobut lugging it but that was the one sure fire way of getting it to skip.

Quick Update: I took it for a drive to work the Heet/Seafoam through. It seems to only misfire at idle and under load <2000 rpm. Maybe I should look at the EGR valve again.

Right sorry, ACS. I found it for 656.24 shipped so thats a couple hundred less than the CF hoods I've been finding. Plus I don't think carbon fiber would look right on this car since I'm not doing much to it. May just head to the junk yards...

I was planning on replacing the coils and plugs since it looked like such a simple job with it all on top of the motor. I priced NGK iridium plugs at 9.00 and coils at 23.97 at Advanced Auto. I'm not sure about the wires though. Is it correct the p5's have two coils and not four?

I forgot to mention, I did get the CEL read and its multiple misfires. As I said the minute it starts blinking I started to pull over and by the time I did the CEL goes steady and the engine runs fine. I've got some seafoam in the fuel right now so hopefully that will eliminate any water in...

This has happened to me twice now. Driving down the road at crusing speed (50 mph once 75 mph once) engine loses power and I get a blinking check engine light. The engine comes back seconds later and by the time I pull over to the side of the road the CEL is now just solid. Car runs fine...
