You really don't need the instructions. Open the liftback and look in the corners and you'll see the 'indents' where to drill the holes. It only took me about 20 minutes from start to finish to do the job. It is very easy and the templates from the instructions were not needed..in my opinion...

bayson r shoots himself in the foot with his outrageous shipping charges, which is against EBay's seller rules...and he refuses to be reasonable about it. He has a couple items I'd buy today if he would reduce shipping.

I didn't do it, used a professional installer, took about 2 hours. Use this forum to find how to remove console, pics are posted. Steering controls are functional, but you have to buy another part..about $100. US. Improved the sound greatly, don't need to upgrade speakers.

bayson r is the guy that overcharges for shipping I was referring to above. If he would follow EBay rules and be reasonable, I'd buy 4 items from him...he is hurting his own cause. He wants $60 for an item and charges $65 to ship it..that's just highway robbery and against EBay seller's...

Ebay has the guy that sells the eyelids. He has alot of stuff I'd buy, but he charges a bloody fortune for shipping...Ebay states that sellers can only charge what is the actual shipping cost, but this guy charges as much as the item itself just for shipping...and he won't come down. A Mazda5...

Here is the final result of a custom install using a dashplate from speedline.com and a double din JVC KW-XG700 head unit. The fit is outstanding and the sound is greatly improved. I love the front USB and Aux inputs. For more pics, go here: http://cameracrew.8m.net/photo3_2.html

I found another site that sells the dash plate for installing an aftermarket radio in our Mazda5. I haven't used this website, so I can't provide any info other than a link. The price is less expensive than at speedline.com and it appears to be the same item. Here is the link...
