    My CHRA from ATP turbo up north ended up being 460ish dollars (assuming yours is the GT25 which if stock it is). Garret has a ball bearing replacement program with these turbos as they cannot be rebuilt like the journal bearing turbos. You send your CHRA to ATP or another Garret authorized...

    Very possible as I have only seen one other black MSP, mine is stock appearance other than seeming to always be dirty(black car+dust=sigh). I live out northwest of Lancaster, I do most my errands in Lancaster and Palmdale though.

    Will do. Sending off the CHRA today, ordered a Steedspeed exhaust manifold yesterday, intercooler and hardpipes in the living room. I will get all new gaskets,nuts,bolts,studs when I have the CHRA mailed to me. Just trying to figure out if there is anything else I should replace while I have it...

    Need help taking apart stock gt25r turbo for a CHRA swap.

    Yeah I did get the exhaust side apart as I mentioned above. Good snap ring pliers seem hard to find, sears had only junk. Hopefully someone here has the parts. Time to hit some autopart stores and hope they are not unreasonably expensive.

    The compressor side is held by a nasty strong retaining clip, the compressor side is held by a clamp ring that is held by bolts. I had been stuck on removing the turbine housing, it was so bound up I could not get it to budge after I took out the 6 or so bolts holding the clamp. I let it soak in...
