I ran into this problem at around 900 miles and the dealer made the modification provided by Mazda. I got a CEL again at around 1400 miles, and was also told that the part won't be available for a while (2 weeks was what I was told).
I had the CEL come back on now, which was pretty much expected. The dealer I originally took my car to said they won't get the switch part for 2 weeks or so. Anybody know of a dealer in NJ that has the part in stock?
If there is a chance that you'll need to drive in snow, then I would highly recommend getting winter tires. It wouldn't be a waste now because you'll have them for next season.
Got a CEL 2 days ago. 900 miles and code P2006. They did the intake manifold drilling thing. I was told the same thing about it happening to both CX-7s and MS3s. I was also told that the switch replacement part is currently being manufactured, so it would need to be special ordered if I...
I had a good experience buying a MS3 from Flemington Mazda last week. They were very friendly and gave me a better price than Wayne and Hamilton. They even picked me up to get the car, even though I live about 40 miles from the dealership.
