I am going to suggest to dad that we change the oil this weekend(we were gonna soon anyway). hopefully that will help.

my father had originally added too much oil than we drained some out. we ended up running low on oil after a few weeks of blue smoke here and there so we dumped some 10w-30 in and it disappeared for a while, now its doing it again. checked the oil and its still within the full and low marks...

we missed an oil change on my fathers protege lx, so he decided it was a good idea to run slick 50 when we changed the oil. now we periodically get valve chatter, and/or bluish smoke under acceleration. now here is the wierd part, we only get blue smoke when we accelerate, while we hear valve...

my biggest selling points on the old camaros are tons of low end, can find them pretty cheap 3rd gen v-8 and my father rebuilt one 2nd gen from totaled 3 times, so he knows the car. the rx-7 sounds like a better choice tho... guess I will just have to see if I can drive both cars to decide...

ok cool then i may be upgrading to the eibach pro spring kit and as soon as possible to better struts. Edit: gonna wait till i can afford Illumina struts also. i have 75k on the protege now.

I was wondering if an EIBACH Pro Spring Kit would work with the stock suspension on a 2000 protege LX. Would just go aftermarket with everything but i dont have the money to do that.

dang well that sucks... I wish i lived near you... anyway i can replace the most seriously dented parts for 300-400 USD a piece there are only like 2 parts that are that bad. maybe i will post some pictures later.
